Associates of Vasil Kisil & Partners attending International Conference Europe and Globalization of Competition

Berlin (Germany), June 30 - July 1, 2008. Mariya Nizhnik and Anna Babych, senior associates of the Antitrust and Competition Law Practice with Vasil Kisil & Partners, attended the international conference Europe and Globalization of Competition. The conference was supported by the European Regional Forum of the International Bar Association and Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht E.V.
The conference brought together antitrust and competition lawyers (both delegates from leading law firms and corporate lawyers of large international companies) from over 20 countries of the world and representatives of antitrust authorities of various jurisdictions and the European Commission.
The delegates focused on pressing issues such as cartel settlements, private antitrust litigation, and merger remedies. The conference also addressed some topical issues associated with the dominant market position of certain companies and dwelled on the issues such as development of competition law in India, China and Russia.
According to the associates of Vasil Kisil & Partners, participation of legal councillors in such type of events drives the discussion of topical issues of competition law and fosters efficient cooperation enabling to build partner relations with professionals in this field from other countries.
