Vasil Kisil & Partners participating in the Annual Conference of the International Distribution Institute (2008)

Turin, Italy, 6 - 7 June 2008. Natalia Mykolska, an associate with Vasil Kisil & Partners, participated in the Annual Conference of the International Distribution Institute, IDI.

The two-day conference in Turin, organized by the Institute in cooperation with the European Company Lawyers Association (ECLA), Piedmont Arbitration Chamber and Turin Chamber of Commerce, dealt with the Internet-related issues and the matters pertaining to the negotiation of agency, distribution and franchising contracts.

The International Distribution Institute was established in Italy in 2004 by practicing attorneys and in-house lawyers from Italy, France, Germany, and The Netherlands to get in contact with the lawyers specialized in distribution across the world to share the information on the domestic distribution law, law-enforcement practice and doctrinal approaches in the international regulation of distribution. The Institute is actively supported by its members and regional experts. For the time being, the Institute incorporates over 150 attorneys and in-house lawyers from over 50 countries of the world.

The regional IDI experts and more than 100 attorneys from over 10 countries of the world took part in the Conference. Vasil Kisil & Partners as represented by Mrs. Natalia Mykolska, its Senior Associate, was invited by organizers to represent Ukraine at the meeting.

Participants of the Conference highlighted the important role of the International Distribution Institute in the formation of a new generation of attorneys and in-house lawyers specialized in international distribution and agency relations and stressed the necessity to meet more frequently to discuss the topical issues of the branch.
