The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) founded in London in 1915 and granted a Royal Charter by Queen Elizabeth II, is a center for global promotion, facilitation, and development of arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. CIArb provides users with the confidence that its members have an internationally recognized, assured level of training and experience.

Fellowship (FCIArb) reflects the highest achievable academic standard. It is the benchmark that professional dispute resolvers aim to achieve and it is only awarded to experienced practitioners. The holders of this grade are entitled to put the abbreviation FCIArb after their name.
