Best Lawyers is the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession. For a quarter century, it has helped lawyers and clients find legal counsel in unfamiliar jurisdictions or unfamiliar specialties. Best Lawyers compiles lists of outstanding attorneys by conducting exhaustive peer-review surveys in which thousands of leading lawyers confidentially evaluate their professional peers. The Best Lawyers Board of Advisors includes legal luminaries from almost every major world economy as well as general counsel from global companies with business on every continent. Vasil Kisil & Partners’ Managing Partner Oleg Makarov was offered an honorable duty to represent Ukrainian legal community on the Advisory Board along with three more reputable practitioners representing leading national law firms.

In the quarter century since Best Lawyers was founded, the legal profession has undergone sweeping changes. As Best Lawyers approaches its twenty-fifth anniversary, it is planning to undertake several important new initiatives in order to make the information gathered on the legal profession even more useful to lawyers and clients alike. Part of it is launching Best Lawyers International, which will bring its peer-reviewed listings to major legal communities around the world. To help ensure that these new initiatives are responsive to both the concerns of the legal profession and the needs of clients, Best Lawyers is assembling a Best Lawyers Board of Advisors, that includes a handful of the most distinguished attorneys such as Mr. Makarov representing Ukraine.

Commenting on his election to serve on Best Lawyers Advisory Board Mr. Makarov said: “I am most proud of Vasil Kisil & Partners team with as many as 10 of my distinguished colleagues listed here, including Dr. Kisil (Arbitration and Mediation, Investment, Litigation and Corporate), Vadym Belyanevych (Litigation, Arbitration and Mediation), Oleg Y.
