Vasil Kisil & Partners Advising British American Tobacco on Launching VELO on the Ukrainian Market

VELO nicotine pouches, a Swedish innovative product imported to Ukraine by the British American Tobacco group, was presented in Ukraine in October 2019.

Dmytro Saranchuk, an associate at Vasil Kisil & Partners, worked as a secondee with the British American Tobacco's legal team for four months and took part in analysing the specifics of VELO customs classification, developing a plan for the product circulation and marketing, product marking and labelling in view of requirements of recently-changed laws of Ukraine, and structuring the supply chain, including though orders via the website.
