Vasil Kisil & Partners Successfully Represented Miniso Ukraine in the Tax Dispute

Miniso Ukraine applied to the tax authority for a VAT refund. As a result of the tax audit, the tax authority refused to refund the VAT amount that exceeded UAH 9 million.

Vasil Kisil and Partners’ attorneys representing the company in administrative proceedings proved that the refusal of the tax authority was unreasonable and the client's actions were totally lawful. Consequently, the court allowed the claim and annulled all the tax notifications-decisions issued against Miniso Ukraine.

Miniso is an international fast-fashion brand with 3500 stores in 67 countries. The company was founded in 2013 by Japanese designer Miyake Junya. The first Miniso store in Ukraine was opened in September 2017.
