Vasil Kisil & Partners’ Senior Associate Alexander Borodkin invited to speak at the international conference entitled “Internationalization of companies: tax & legal framework of reference” in Italy

The international conference “Internationalization of companies: tax & legal framework of reference” took place October 17 – 18, 2008, in Gardone Riviera (Lake Garda, Italy). This gathering was attended by ~ 350 Italian and European business representatives, as well as financial and legal consultants.
This year the conference focused on China and Ukraine as promising markets for Italian investors. Ukraine was represented by members of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the European Business Association (EBA) and Vasil Kisil & Partners law firm.
Senior Associate Alexander Borodkin gave a presentation “On foreign investments in land and agricultural sector of Ukraine” and described how foreign investors can enter the Ukrainian market. He also covered regulatory specifics of land legislation in Ukraine, most widely used methods of structuring a business in Ukraine, state support of agricultural production and other relevant matters. The issues presented by Mr. Borodkin sparked a lot of interest from the international investor community.
Vasil Kisil & Partners’ participation in this particular conference was part of firm’s ongoing collaboration with the European Business Association – an international organization created to facilitate business relations and cross-border investments, including those in Ukraine.
