Vasil Kisil & Partners Advises on Selling JSC LIEPĀJAS METALURGS

Vasil Kisil & Partners acted as a legal advisor on selling JSC LIEPĀJAS METALURGS, the largest industrial enterprise in Latvia with its own port facility producing and selling steel products internationally. At the turn of 2014, the final financial and legal documents were executed for the purpose of the assets transfer to the Latvian subsidiary of KVV Group, a leading Ukrainian group active in the scrap metal business. The total value of the deal amounts to EUR 107 million.

Vasil Kisil & Partners advised on the Ukrainian law matters on the seller’s side for this transaction. In particular, the lawyers were involved in reviewing the transaction documents and conducting corporate due diligence and issued legal opinions to the seller of JSC LIEPĀJAS METALURGS and its major creditors.

The transaction team was led by the firm’s partner Oleg Alyoshin and counsellor Anna Sisetska and included the firm's associates Olena Nikolenko and Darya Bogatchuk.
