Vasil Kisil & Partners participate in the Annual Conference of Ukrainian Bar Association

On June 10-12, 2009 the largest and already traditional forum of legal firm professionals and corporate lawyers took place in Lviv (Ukraine) under the auspices of the Ukrainian Bar Association.
The format of the conference included round tables and sessions of numerous UBA committees and workshops offering the attendees a vivid discussion of current topical issues relevant to the legal sector. The event also featured trainings dedicated to the Council of Europe Convention on Human Rights, a shared round table of German Bar Association, etc.
In order to actively partake in this gathering Vasil Kisil & Partners law firm was represented by a diverse team of seasoned professional, such as Senior Partner Vasil Kisil, Managing Partner Oleg Makarov, Partner Oleksandr Khomenko and driven lawyers of younger generation: senior associate Andriy Stelmashchuk, and associates Sergiy Denisenko and Oleksiy Sluch.
As part of the conference, the regular session of the Ukrainian Bar Association Assembly, the organization’s supreme body, was held so that the Assembly leaders could be reelected. Oleg Makarov was once again elected member of the UBA Board. At the session of the UBA Assembly the conference participants determined the action plan for the years 2009-2011 and adopted the new version of UBA Statute, Rules of Professional Conduct of Lawyers and Code of Professional Conduct of European Lawyers.
