Arbitration Institute of Stockholm Chamber of Commerce shares its hands-on experience in international commercial arbitration transactions

December 1 through the 3rd, 2008 a workshop, entitled “Practical aspects of international commercial arbitration transactions,” was conducted by the Arbitration Institute of Stockholm Chamber of Commerce in Kyiv. The workshop was a combination of lectures and presentations by leading practitioners in the area of international arbitration. It also included a mock arbitration proceeding.
Among the participants, there were representatives of PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Ernst&Young, Baker&McKenzie, Fozzy, Kyivstar GSM, Russkoie Radio Ukraine, Ukrainian Mining and Smelting Company, ISD and other companies.
Other than acting as a moderator and a presenter during the event Vasil Kisil & Partner’s Senior Counselor Dr. Tatyana V. Slipachuk also headed the defendants’ group during the mock arbitration proceeding. Earlier she participated in a similar workshop that took place in October of 2008 in Minsk (Belorussia). In 2009, there are workshops planed in Baku (Azerbaijan), Almaty (Kazakhstan) and Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan).
