Vasil Kisil & Partners participating in the Fifth Annual Law Conference

June 12 to 15, 2008, Donetsk (Ukraine). The associates of Vasil Kisil & Partners Andriy Stelmachshuk and Mariya Nizhnik attended the annual law conference held by the Ukrainian Bar Association

It has become the fifth year for the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA) to hold a law conference, this time in Donetsk. This meeting is the most recognized and reputable in Ukraine either among academic or practicing lawyers. This year the conference has hosted almost 100 representatives from law firms not alone, but corporate lawyers from all over Ukraine as well. It is a tradition for Vasil Kisil & Partners Law Firm to participate actively in conferences held by UBA. It is the same this year, the firm has been represented at the current conference by the associates Andriy Stelmashchuk and Mariya Nizhnik .

The delegates concentrated on urgent issues of the insurance law, issues related to the merger clearance control treatment, effects from joining the WTO, problems with administrative legal proceedings, practical aspects related to the application of land laws, protection of intellectual property rights, etc.

Such events facilitate negotiating urgent issues of laws and law profession, upgrading lawyers' expertise and exchanging the leading experience in issues attracting the law society and contributing amicable unofficial communications among the delegates throughout the days of hard work, as Andriy Stelmashchuk, a conference delegate, said.
